Registered Massage Therapy
“massage therapy” means the health profession in which a person provides, for the purposes of developing, maintaining, rehabilitating or augmenting physical function, or relieving pain or promoting health, the services of
a. assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, and
b. treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction, injury, pain and disorders of soft tissue and joints of the body by manipulation, mobilization and other manual methods.

All massage appointments will include an intake interview & orthopedic assessment in order to customize your massage to your needs and to ensure that you are being treated in the safest manner possible. Though everything within Cassy’s power is done to ensure the intake interview is as efficient and speedy as possible, it can take anywhere from 5–20 minutes depending on your unique situation and whether or not you are a first-time client. Initial appointments are of longer duration than subsequent.
RMT appointments may also include after-massage assessment as required and suggestions on remedial exercises.
