About
Cassy began her journey with massage therapy back when she was in junior high school. Her parents had many family friends who enjoyed receiving massages from Cassy as much as she enjoyed giving them. Shortly after providing a few shoulder and back treatments, her family friends started to tell her about how she could make a career out of it and that she has strong hands to do the job well.
After high school ended, Cassy saved up enough money to put her through West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 2400 hour Massage Therapy Program. Towards the end of her schooling, Cassy had to make a decision on what she wanted to do in the future with her new found skills. So in business class she devised a long term plan to start off at a spa immediately after graduation, then pass the board exams and join a clinic, and then eventually work her way up to owning/running her own practice.
After a few years out in the field, Cassy has decided that now it would be a good time to open up her own at home massage business. She desires to help reach clients who are in need of any relief from muscle soreness, pain, stiffness, injury, etc.
Over the years Cassy has developed skills through her continuing education courses in Muscle Energy Techniques and Neurodynamics. As well she has gained experience working alongside Chiropractors, Athletic Therapists, and more. Cassy implements a mix of Trigger point therapy, myofascial release, Muscle Energy, General Swedish and Therapeutic stretching/strengthening into her practice.
Her main goal during treatment is to find the root of the issue and work on all relevant tissues to help deliver an all encompassing approach. While Cassy tends to have a therapeutic/rehabilitation style to her practice, she enjoys doing pre & post-natal massage as well as relaxation and geriatric care.
